The Friends of the Waycross-Ware County Public Library

Mrs. Adams has been featured in various magazines articles in recent years, and is the author of four novels and a children’s book - “The Treasure of North Pole, Alaska ”. Her books are a reflection of travels and experiences in many states where her husband’s military and Civil Service career took them. The 3rd Annual Mo-Skeeter Dice/Poker Run will be held today, at the Georgia National Fairgrounds and Agricenter in Perry, GA. This event is held annually to benefit the Georgia Sheriffs' Youth Homes and is Georgia's largest dice/poker run. Participants in the 2009 event came from all over the Southeast, but the majority were from surrounding Middle Georgia counties. There were numerous law enforcement and public safety organizations represented. A large crowd for this year's event is also expected.
The route for the 2009 ride covered approximately 100 miles and had stops in Hawkinsville, Montezuma, and Byron, before returning to the Agricenter. The 2010 ride will likely cover a similar distance.

In addition to serving as a Professor of Guitar at Stetson University in DeLand, Florida since 1983 where he is both founder and director of Stetson’s guitar program, Dr. Robinson is an award-winning recording artist. His many CDs for Clear Note, Centaur, and Lakeside Records have received unanimous critical acclaim from the international publications American Record Guide, Fonoforum, Classical Guitar, Soundboard, Guitar Review, On the Air and Fanfare. 13th Annual Gram Parsons Guitar Pull & Tribute Festival
To be held at the Okefenokee Heritage Center / Okefenokee Fairgrounds 6:00pm
A 3-day musical festival honoring the legacy of Waycross Ga's Gram Connor Parsons features entertainment from around the world.
