Cordially invites the public to: Meet Dr. William J. Morton, author of “The Story of Georgia’s Boundaries” 7:00 pm Ware County Public Library 401 Lee Avenue , Waycross. Get an in-depth look at Georgia’s boundaries and learn the fascinating story of how the state was shaped.  More then mere lines on a map, the boundaries of present-day Georgia reflect centuries of wars, treaties, political maneuvering, litigation, heroic actions and even human error. William J. Morton has written a well-researched book discussing the boundaries of his home state in the context of the events and the personalities of those that helped to determine them.  Throughout the story, Morton sprinkles anecdotes that illuminate the facts. Proudly sponsored by “The Friends of the Library,” this event is free and open to the public. For more information please contact: 912 287 4978.
