Jaycee's Fourth of July Celebration
Every year, the Waycross Jaycee's celebrate with music, food, and fireworks at Memorial Stadium, located on US 1 Memorial Drive. People from all over the area come to enjoy live entertainment and activities for the whole family at the stadium at 6pm. The grand finale of the evening is a fireworks show usually beginning around 9pm. The fireworks display can be seen from almost anywhere in town if you happen to be passing through.

McKinney Community Health Center 
will host their annual Healthy Kids Immunization Drive on July 21 and August 11.  The drive will be held at MCHS, 218 Quarterman Street, Waycross from 10:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. on these dates.     Lake Ware - Shrine Lake Fishing & Dinner
We are now open to the public on Sundays to fish. There is a small fee of $5.00 which entitles you to fish and launch your boat if you choose.  
Hours are 7:00 am to 5:00 pm. 
HLB Promotions will be serving dinner from 12 noon to 2:00 pm. Come and eat an old fashioned home made dinner, enjoy the view of the lake and  take a stroll on the dock al for only $8.00. 
Our Menu for the meal will vary, but generally consist of: turkey, ham, dressing, giblet gravy, whole kernel corn, potato salad, biscuit, tea, lemonade and sheet cake. To go plates will be available.

First Annual YMCA Ready, Set, GLOW!
5k Road Race Benefitting the Childers Family YMCA of Waycross Midnight
WHERE: Race starts/ends at the Childers Family YMCA track and winds through business and residential areas around the SRMC and Tebeau Street areas.
AWARDS: Top male/female finishers by age group and male/female over all finishers. Age groups are: 14 and under; 15-19; 20-29; 30-39; 40-49; 50-59; 60 and older
ENTRY FEE: $20 pre-registration, $25 race day (please be aware that only pre-registrants are guaranteed a t-shirt), $17 pre-registration fee per participant for groups of 10 + (please wear a group t-shirt)
RACE INFORMATION:  The race path will be well lit! Glow in the dark bracelets will be given to all race participants for safety.
